I had just learned of the passing of Wayne Woodmansee. In my book a racing Legend. Anyone that may have known him knows what a Hard Charger he was. My Father use to letter his car with the ole number 10. Wayne had driven on a many tracks from Lawrenceburg to Glen Este. Wayne will be Deeply missed~~

I will miss his first-rate singing of the National Anthem at the 'burg in between cooking up batches of funnel cakes.

Rest in Peace Racer.

Wayne Woodmansee who sings the National Anthem and has the funnel cake setup is still going strong. It is his father who passed away. I spoke to him this morning to pass along my condolences.

I was awaiting confirmation of anything before saying anything.

My thoughts are to Wayne and his family on their loss.

BTW, If you haven't heard Wayne sing Back home again in Indiana. It's not Jim Neighbors but its as good!

Wayne the racer was quite good back in the 50's. He had news clippings where tracks would add bonuses to beat him, cuz he had won so many in a row. Was also great guy who lived into his 90's. Son, sings National Anthem at the Burg occasionally, and does a great Elvis impersonation. R.I.P. & Condolences to the family.
