Officials of the United States Speed Association and the Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW are committed to the fight against breast cancer. When the series returns to Anderson Speedway on Saturday October 11 for the 2nd annual Community Hospital Paint the Night Pink presented by the UAW, Star 106.9 and Med Express, USSA will donate all of its sprint car entry fees to the Making Stride Campaign.

“Anderson Speedway’s Paint the Night Pink event will be about more than crowning our champions, it will be about all of us becoming champions and finishing the fight against breast cancer and all other forms of this terrible disease,” said USSA Vice President Eric Bunn.

Bunn continued, “USSA’s donation is our way of supporting the communities we race in, our teams and their families. We all know someone who has been touched by cancer and the horrible toll it can take.”

In just its second year, the Paint the Night Pink event has grown to include the event title sponsor Community Hospital of Anderson, Star 106.9 and Med Tech. The Men and Women of the United Auto Workers have been a driving force to bring in the support of the Indiana’s UAW Locals as well as volunteering their time and efforts to work at the event with the American Cancer Society.

Not only will fans be supporting a great cause, they will get to see a full night of racing with USSA crowning Champions in the Mel Kenyon Midget Series and the Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW. The USSA open wheel cars will be joined by the Mini Cup cars and the WOFS Figure Eight cars.

The gates will open at 4:00 PM, with qualifying starting at 5:30 and the green flag dropping on the racing at 7:00 PM. Adult tickets are $13, kids 6 to 12 $4 and kids five and under are free.
