I just found this board so i apologize if this has been covered, i didn't see it anywhere but lets hope for a speedy recovery.
Post subject: Sprint car legend Kenny Jacobs retired due to injury.... Reply with quote Sprint car standout, and multi time All Star Champion Kenny Jacobs is now retired due to an injury he suffered last Sunday at Millstream Speedway in Findlay, OH. According to son Lee Jacobs "After talking to my dad a little more i found that the injury is more serious then what he was putting off. We are very lucky to have my dad to still be able to use his legs. He was a mere 5 degrees from paralysis. Needless to say the doctor told my dad that he will no longer be able to compete in the sport that he has given so much of his heart to. I'm going to miss the days of racing side by side with him but am very grateful that he still has the ability to use his legs. Once again thank you all so much for the thoughts and prayers for our father." Video of the accident can be seen at the link below. Being there, it looked like he was coming over the fence..... http://www.highvistavideo.com/Videos/Jacobs%20flip.wmv |

I am very thankful that the "Mouse" will recover from his accident. I am also thankful that I got to see him run many, many times over the years, He was one of the best.

Unfortunately I only got to see Mouse run a few times but appreciated his talent. I'm glad that he didn't suffer any permanent injury and hope to run into him down the road sometime. :thumb

I never saw Kenny in a winged car but I did see him in Silver Crown several times and his talent was always impressive. Best of luck in his recovery and retirement to a fellow Buckeye.

Thanks Kenny for all the great years, I will never forget when you won the Coca Cola Nationals at Haubstadt when you won both nights in the purple #4 car. It was great.
