What did you see good about 2008 ISW?
:dologob: 1. The car count and depth of the field ? 2. Over by 11:00 ish ? 3. New winners ? |

I saw a lot of good things. The racing for the most part was excellent and it just makes you want more. The new Lawrenceburg track and thoughts of how much better that will be down the road. Once they figure out track prep and get a handle on it will only make the racing better. Both the Kokomo and Bloomington races were exciting from start to finish. Excellent facilities that the owners/promoters take pride in preparing the track. You couldn't ask for anything better. The ending at Tri State with numerous scenarios playing out. I was even surprised that during the John Deere parade that a Farmall was spotted.:O: I even saw a little dust at the Class Track. I think the car count was excellent and the differential between the top and 32nd place qualifier proved the quality of the equipment and drivers. We had a little of everything. New winners, veteran winners, racing throughout the pack and a very tight points battle all the way to the end at Tri State. But the best thing to me is seeing old friends and meeting new friends along the way. Just sitting back and enjoying a cold drink and wonderful conversation. Is it midget week yet?:wink

The weather was great this year!!! Only one rain out... we can't complain too much can we? Now had that rain out been Kokomo, then yes we could all tear up a little. The excitement of having the championship come down to the last race was also a highlight. One GREAT thing that was a direct result of good preparation was the KOKOMO race... that was not an accident. The crowds were good and car counts decent. Okay people... give some kudos where kudos belong... |

I hope Lawrenceburg has 2 dates. It is the best place to camp bar none.
