All 1000cc and 1200cc Lightning Mini Sprints it is time again to making your plans to attend the Tulsa Shootout.
Entry form and all the dates are on their web site. Hope everyone can make it out there for some indoor racing.
See you there.

Wish we could. That is a super place to be if they could only do away with them little bitty cars racing their motors all the time.

Every body should go at least once just to say yeh we went there.

Good luck. Maybe Jerry could get a grudge race up between us and them Eco-tec cars of Emmett's. That would be neat.

Anybody know how picky they are with tech? I'd flunk this rule, or I might consider going...
11.Must have stock (working) charging system. No cut out allowed.

Jerry is the guy to ask his Phone number I think is in the AMSA website I think.

You could run a lot longer and faster with an alternator, I wouldn't race without one. I lost a race one time because they had one of them 20 lap yellow flags, we were leading at the time of the yellow, the flag woman dropped the green flag and our car fell on its face, end of story.

The alternator was already off the motor when I bought the car, so...
If I get semi-serious about making the tow I'll give Jerry a call, just wondered what anyone's experience had been with the procedures down there.

We snuck in the first year, under a phony name and address. Ran second to a cheater dark horse midget racer from Washington state and flew through inspection.

Inspection would be the last of my concerns, they need car count, and are pretty good people. If any body would have been DQ'd at the time it would have been us because or left nerf is too wide when we move the tire all the way in, we did check before we went out there.

If you can find time and money and I were you I would go, you will have a ball. If somebody would find the money for us we would go.

I have seen micros roll across the scales down there with nobody even looking at the readout and go right thru...I would be amazed if anything beyond looking at a RR compound and a trip across the scales for the top 3 happens...at least thats how they roll with the micros... with them bringing in Jerry to help with the uprights there may be a bit more tech on that class.

Did it twice, great experience but when you add everything up you're turning some pretty expensive laps.
