Running a r1 on methanol electronic injection. What fuel pumps would you recommend? Was told I should run 50ish psi from regulator. Thanks for your suggestions.

I ran a Bosch on alky with zero problems, had 6 years on it when I sold the car. Main thing is keeping the filters clean, both the injector filters and inline filter. I would recommend sending the injectors out to be professionally cleaned before the start of each season, not just squirting them with carb cleaner. Fuel pressure ?, depends on the injector size and what your doing for tuning, Power Commander? what type intake your running and so forth.

Buy an Areomotive pump and order the one for alcohol. I know that a lot of people will say use a Walbro but I didn't have any luck whatsoever.
I run 45 psi on my R1 during hot weather and turn it up as the weather gets colder to a max of 50 psi. I recommend installing a pressure gauge on the dash it sure saves lots of time chasing your tail when problems arise.

I've ran Walbro pumps for 6 years now, on three cars, and I think they all have the original pumps on them. I purge my system every week. People will say that's unnecessary, yet they are usually the ones coming to buy a pump from me at the track... Walbro pumps have a fine screen inside them, and if you don't purge the system, that screen will plug causing starvation inside the pump. Then it makes a sound like the bearings are going out.

If you're running a Guhl system, they all run at 65 lbs.

LOL, as much as I hate to send anyone to Rossen being that your running his stuff he would likely be your best bet.

Give the Mallory FI 4060 a look. Fuel does not run through the motor. You can rebuild it with factory rebuild kit. Factory sells seals for either gasoline or methanol. Check it out at Jegs or Summit.

I bought the one we use back in 2004 and rebuilt it once but it really didn't need it.
