WATSONVILLE HOSTS WESTERN MIDGETS JULY 12;

#4 FOR GARDNER IN PLAZA PARK 30-LAPPER

Ronnie Gardner of Norco, Calif. will take a 54-point lead over Jake Swanson into a July 12 race at Ocean Speedway in Watsonville, Calif. Gardner won last Saturday’s race at Visalia, Calif. while Swanson was fifth.

Gardner scored his fourth win of the year at Visalia’s Plaza Park Speedway. He passed Michael Faccinto on lap 15 and led the rest of the 30-lapper in his Baldozier Racing/Esslinger Engineering Stewart to beat Faccinto, Sean Dodenhoff, Tyler Smith and Swanson.

The USAC Western Pavement Midgets will follow the July 12 Watsonville dirt race with a July 13 co-sanctioned event with BCRA at Madera (Calif.) Speedway.
