Keith Love Injured at Tri-City
June 22, 2013

Auburn, MI — (June 22, 2013) — Veteran driver Keith Love was air lifted to a local hospital after a crash during Michigan Traditional Sprint competition Friday night at Tri-City Speedway.

Witnesses to the accident said Love flipped and made contact with the some of the asphalt racing surface from the original paved track at Tri-City. MTS officials informed us that Love is currently listed in serious condition in a Saginaw area hospital.

Love has been racing for over 25 years in stock cars, modifieds, and sprint cars. His brother Ken was also a stand out sprint car racer and later a racing official.

We will post further updates as we receive them.

Any one have an update and his current location? I'm in Lansing today and would like to visit him if he's taking visitors and I can find out where he is.

Talked w/ Keiths brother at the track, Keith was unconscious when safety crew go to him. He was cut out of the car & Life Flight was called in. Ken said Keith has a broken arm & was busy finishing up loading so he could get to the hospital. A group of racers from other teams came & got the car ready to load up taking broken parts off. Jenifer the track photo person posted as of 5pm? last night Keith was still in ICU & talk of a cat scan was going to be done. He's not critical but I'm sure the medical people wanna keep a close eye on him cause he's an old man like me. Get Well soon Keith

Just talked w/ Keith Love at the hospital, said his arms not broken.

Sounded like the same old Keith I've know for years, chaffin at the bit wantin out of that Hospital.

Our talk was brief as his cell phone was ringin, Mr popularity. He was in good spirits said thanks for being concerned about him, told him not to do that again, said he'd do his part
