if o2 means a auto tune unit, then you need the power commander unit to run the auto tune unit so you need both units

or you use a wideband 02 sensor for datalogging/tuning a power commander. some of the new setups have a wideband integrated to help self adjust the maps to the engine's current conditions. we use WB 02's when we tune engines setting the injection maps.
