CLS Partners with Jack Link's Beef Jerky for the Sasquatch Indoor Nationals!

New Richmond, Wis. (Jan. 29, 2013) — Cedar Lake Speedway is excited to announce its recent naming rights partnership with Jack Link’s Beef Jerky, the No.1 U.S. meat snack brand and fastest-growing meat snack manufacturer worldwide.

Jack Link’s has offered Cedar Lake Speedway the rights to use its recognizable brand icon Sasquatch, star of the popular ‘Messing With Sasquatch’ advertising campaign, for the 2013 Jack Link’s Sasquatch Indoor Nationals on March 9 and 10. The race will be Cedar Lake Speedway’s largest indoor contest. It will be hosted at the 120,000-square-foot Cedar Lake Arena, which was previously known as The Sandbox. The arena is located adjacent to the speedway in New Richmond, Wis., and is minutes east from the Twin Cities.

“The 2013 Jack Link’s Sasquatch Indoor Nationals marks the return of indoor midget auto racing to the area after nearly five years,” said Steve Kaufman, owner, Cedar Lake Speedway. “We are excited to announce that the Badger Midget Series will sanction the two-day event at the indoor fifth-mile dirt oval on March 9 and 10.”

The newly renovated arena hosts motocross events through February. The track’s jumps and dips will be groomed into a smooth, slightly banked fifth-mile oval just in time to welcome some of the wildest open-wheel competitors on the planet. The last indoor auto race featured great side-by-side competitive racing, and provided a much-needed fix of auto racing for fans during the winter months. Racing enthusiasts can expect an upgraded ventilation system, and tons of competitive entrants, as well as a unique and fun experience, courtesy of Jack Link’s Beef Jerky.

Minong, Wis.-based Jack Link’s is no stranger to unique competitions. The brand has a history of stamping its “Feed Your Wild Side” attitude on events such as the World Series of Poker, Jack Link’s Major League Fishing and Championship SnoCross. Indoor midget racing is a natural fit for Jack Link’s.

The Jack Link’s Sasquatch Indoor Nationals will kick off Friday, March 8. Practice will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., giving competitors a chance to take a few laps before raceday. Competitive racing begins at 5 p.m., Saturday, March 9 and will feature Badger Midgets, Legends and Micro Sprints divisions. The weekend’s grand finale will be held starting at 1 p.m., Sunday, March 10.

With Cedar Lake Arena, the Badger Midget Series and Jack Link’s joining forces, this is a must-see event for race fans of all ages.
