by Jeff Brown Sports Editor The head-to-head battle between Tate Martz and Brett Hankins for the Midwest TQ Racing League’s 2012 series points championship never materialized at the Brownstown Speedway. The drivers entered the final event of the season with just seven points separating them in the standings. However, mechanical problems sidelined Hankins, virtually assuring that Martz would win his fourth straight title. Congratulations, Tate! You were really on fire at the end of the season. It was pretty impressive to watch, for sure. There were a lot of successes with the old Lowe Chassis, but it was nice to see those continue with the new Beast.
Also, a big congratulations goes to Brett Hankins on his impressive year. He was so close to bringing home the championship for the Hankins Family. It's great to see him have success. Finally, a big ol' congratulations to Devin Fairchild on winning the 2012 Tony Stewart Racing Rookie of the Year with MTQRL! |
