Anyone who has a race car or hot rod who could make it please contact me. Also any of you who are drivers retired or current please come out and bring your helmet and suit. It's a great time for a great cause!

Takes place this Saturday at Wilbur Shaw memorial hill in Indianapolis at 9AM. If you would like to bring a car for display we will have over night security on Friday evening. Please check out our website even if you can't make it. www.raceofchampions.org

Even if you are racing on Saturday night and can only come for a short time that would be great. Be prepared to have sore face muscles from smiling so much on Saturday!

Bruce "The Animal" Adkins and I have been getting the cars ready so everybody come on out and enjoy the event. If you know anyone or have a special needs child get them registered so they can come and race with us.

I've had the pleasure of being the PA person for this event for severals years and would recommend anyone in the Indianapolis area to stop by the Wilbur Shaw Soap Box Derby Hill at West 30th. & Cold Springs Road Saturday September 22nd. between 9 AM & early afternoon.

From my perch on the walkway above the finish line I can see the special needs drivers pumping their arms in the arm and a smile as wide as the Mississippi River as they flash below.

The cars are two seaters with a race driver in the back and the special needs driver in front. Both can steer the race car down the gravity hill so it's fun watching the race driver fighting to keep control as the special needs driver has a different idea as to the fastest path to victory.

There's been some guardrail connections! Lol!!!!

As my cousin brother Bob said, even if you are going racing that night we are done in early afternoon so come on out to watch or volunteer. Display your race car for your sponsor!!!
