With no USAC shows scheduled for this past Memorial weekend Jesse headed back to the Show Me State to race his own #77 Frankenstein. Originally, he planned to run at Lake Ozark Speedway Saturday night but it was cancelled due to rain. So Jesse took the wing off and headed to I-70 speedway and took home the checkers (http://www.hoseheads.com/winning.html) . Then Sunday he returned to his favorite track, Double X Speedway in California, MO for the 1st Annual Larry Martin Memorial. It was a great race with Jesse coming from the 6th starting position to overtake Randy Martin and Brian Brown for the victory (http://whowon.com/results.asp?tracki...storyid=247471). That gives Hockett 5 1st places finishes in as many tries in his home state, 4 with a wing and 1 without a wing. Great job Jesse, and keep doin what you do in Indy, the luck is about to swing in your favor. Good luck with the PA swing! Do work!

Talk about Mr. exciting. The battle with Brian Brown was first rate. I dont care if they had wings or not. One of the few times I can see a 1/4 mile track in Mo. Watching Jesse in lapped traffic was really a show within itself. This kid has come along ways and is one of the most versatile drivers around right now. Way to go Jesse and thank you for the picture with my kids:thumb
