Just a random thought from last Friday night at Bloomington…

With the announcer urging everyone to get to a safe location when the rain/hail was coming down, why was the gate at the bottom of the hill (by the ticket booth) still closed? Shouldn’t it have been opened to hasten the exit of fans to that safe location? As it was, fans had to either go single file or go behind the hand-stamp hut, taking a chance on the wet, slick slope. I guess in my mind the gate should have been opened when the mass exodus began. Might seem like a small thing, but it’s just something that I think they should look at in the future should fans need to head out quickly and safely again.

Regardless, I’ll still be there every Friday night

Sounds like they need better communicaton between whoever is calling the shots now and the girls at the gate. Also have to wonder when they are going to get back to starting on time. 6:30 used to mean 6:30

That's the way they've always done it. Best bet is to get your hand stamped as you go in, but if you have to wait behind someone else to get stamped, you will still get wet.

Yes, they started 35 minutes late. I hope this is not setting a precedent.

If the hail was large size or lightning in the area I'd be concerned - Rain don't bother me it's only water. Come to Mich and catch a storm coming in off Lake Mich, we were in a motel made of 10" blocks & I thought it was gonna fall in. Never been in a storm that bad in 57 yrs
