Me too. I remember rooting for Doty while listening to the race on the internet. If I remember correctly, I think that Doty had been in every Saturday night A-Main in the history of the Chili Bowl up to that point. Wish he had gotten that one. He sure gave it all he had that night; just came up a little short.
