Not throwing stones, cause I really don't know, but is it possible it's because of who he drives for, and how much money gets pumped into the series by that same person? Maybe it's one of those don't bite the hand that feeds you deals. Track records are great, but Decaire really was on fire all season.

Jason Blonde of Biobased Racing at Bristol agreed to loan Troy DeCaire his backup Mopar engine.

Without that engine DeCaire doesnt win the championship, as he blew his up during practice.

You think that kind of sportsmanship didnt help in the voting.

This award has nothing to do with MSRXSS.The Midwest Racing Scene does a poll each year on a number of different topics/people in the racing industry that the fans vote on. The Midwest Racing Scene is a Michigan based racing trade paper produced by Terry Fitzwater.

Jason Blonde won the 2011 Pavement Sprint Car Driver of the Year award. The award was voted on by fans and readers of the paper. Go to Midewest Racing Scene's Facebook page to see many of the other individuals who were elected by the fans for accomplishments in 2011.

I am posting to clarify about Jasons recent award. We were recently awarded the pavement driver of the year from a recent poll voted on by the race fans. This has nothing to do with Msr... This is a newspaper in the midwest that is run by Terry Fitzwater and nothing to do with Jim Hanks or our car owners the wilshes. I agree that there are Many deserving drivers and were very honored when we got the news. I will tell you that jason is very deserving of this. If you know him he is one of the most humble people you will find not to mention works his tail off. It upsets me for the above comments and especially the one about he got it because of our sponsor dumping so much money into the series. That couldnt be farther from the truth! He got it because I believe he deserves it... So come on give us break.. I see many posts that I dont agree with on here but you dont see me posting crude and hurtful comments. Please have the same respect!
