Sprints are running each night with the midgets during IMW
How about MSCS stepping up and sanctioning these events and have their own Sprint Week? |

Thats not going to happen as the IMW is a USAC event and they will want total control over one of their biggest weeks.

I wish someone would put together an Illinois Sprint and/or midget week. Doesnt have to be USAC either, could be POWRi / MSCS.

I really do not see a need for it. They already draw 40 or more midgets. The sprint fields are solid, why would a promoter pay the extra sanction fee? I guess I don't see what would be gained. Now Andrew count me in on your idea.

The best idea on this thread. How good would an MSCS Illinois Sprint Week be the week of the USAC SC race at Springfield? Danville, Jacksonville, Mt. Vernon, dare I say Red Hill, and add the track(s) of your choice. Add the POWRI midgets and you've got a monster week of racing.:applaud::thumb

Could make it half a week of midgets, half a week of traditional sprinters for something different. Macon and Belle Clair would be on my list of tracks in Illinois for starters.
