70 was fine the last time I went to IL, but that was almost a month ago. If 57 is still the same, but sure to keep an eye out for state cops. They tend to hit it pretty hard. They used to have speed traps where one guy would sit on an overpass and run the radar while there would be 5 or 6 state troopers waiting to be told who to pull over just after the overpass.

Devin,
I-70 still has construction but shouldn't be to bad being it is a Saturday. Leave yourself enough time to make it without challenging the speed limit. My nephew is a state trooper and I am certain he will be working this weekend. Don't give them a chance to pull you over. Once you get through Effingham, IL you should be okay as far as construction. I-57 South to Illinois 14 at West City which I believe is Exit 71. 16 miles over to the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds. Hope to see you there.

Still have the speed traps and construction from Mt. Vernon south 2-3 miles. From there on, clear sailing. Watch the cops on Illinois 14 w. into Du Quoin, they have their headquarters there and 14 is primary route out to I-57.
