Just read on USACs twitter page: aug 23-25 2012 USAC national sprint cars at Kokomo speedway for the first annual sprint car smack down. Paying 10,000 to win and 1,000 to start the feature on aug 25th..I'm very excited for this one already

Hope they spread some $$$$ into the B main otherwise all the IN regulars will head to the other local tracks instead of running this big show. IMO

I don't think so. This is going to be a big time, three day event. It pays $1000 to start for the finale, so the money is "spread around" enough. If a driver chooses to skip this event and go some place else, because the consy doesn't pay enough, then where ever he chooses to go, then that's where he should have went, anyway. This event will be a big draw, IMO.

Seems to me a lot of locals could at least make the show. They are running a good paying race all the way through and u still want more money. Nuts!!!

I am just going of history the last few years. Look at the big money shows at L-burg and Haubstabt and they struggle to get 30 cars. Kokomo historically has not gotten large car counts for sprintweek. Now if all the IN tracks took the weekend off I think the car count would be good.

I guess I think back to the Mopar Million which drew over 100 cars and the primary reason was everyone left with some money in their pockets not just those who started the A. JMO

Personally I think its totally ignorant to compare a million dollar purse to a 20 thousand dollar purse.

YMMV.................. and not saying anything bad about you. Just the statement

Are you nuts? For starters the "So called big money races" @ lawrenceburg & haubstadt USAC/MSCS were nothing of that! Yes it did pay 10k to win! great for the winner. but there could only be one right? But to start haubstadt it only paid $225 which was MSCS doing.

At least usac pays $500 to start. Ok now your getting a $1000 to just take the green flag in the A. Last time i checked 4th place in a usac sprint race gets that on normal shows. And you wonder why the mopar million had so many cars...? it paid like $20,000 to start.

It's like beating a dead horse. pay more to start and you will get more cars. plain and simple. JMHO... But who am i..
