As of right now 33 drivers have clocked into the timing and scoring grid at the speedway for practice times on the first day of practice. We have enough cars to fill the field and the first day is not even over yet!!!!!

Welcome back Indy we have missed you!!!!!

I spent the afternoon in my office with the internet feed on in the background. Man I miss living in Indy.

Did anyone make it to opening day today?

Ron,

I have always enjoyed pole day but in recent years much of the excitement has disappeared. With the merger it should be a whole new level of excitement similar to the "good old days". I can't wait to get there and see another fun day at IMS.

Im just wondering if it's still gonna be a squirel finding a nut or a fluke if Danica or Sara wins??????

Nice to see a full field at Indy again. The old girl needs this and the fan base for this sport to thrive again.

Chuck, thanking Sean for the update

Mikew...I miss living in Indy too. There is nothing better than being in Indiana during the month of may...too bad I had to move to NAPCAR country to figure that out though! :kookoo

I think this is going to be one of the best 500s in recent year and I can't wait to see how it all unfolds...

I grew up in Terre Haute and lived in Indy for 8 years. This will be my second May in C-bus, OH. I'm only 3 hours away so I will be coming in for bump day and for the race. I was planning on going to pole day until Eldora reschduled their USAC race for the same day. As long as the weather is good, I should be getting over to Eldora early in the afternoon to enjoy a tailgate with some friends while we listen to pole day coverage on the radio.
