i guess i will be the guy to point out that an ex usac guy set quick time at the greatest race track in the world! nice to see!
ed carpenter 224.786 mph     i sure am regreting the fact i passed on putnamville for the night....really sad to be rained again...

It definitely was a pleasant surprise to see Carpenter and Fisher at the top of the speed charts. Carpenter has been fast at Indy the last couple years, but this was the first day these two were together as a team, and it's great to see that they are fast right out of the box.
Hope they can keep it up and be near the front through the week of practice leading up to Pole Day.

I would think and hope Mr. Tony George has added a little help to this team. It would be nice to see Ed drink the milk with Sara next to him.
