kokomo/gas city hotels?

Where is a good place to stay? Trying to make plans for Sprint week

Nice Holiday Inn Express at the Gas City exit I've stayed there, for Kokomo I was told there's a nice Motel 6 off 31 near the track. Going to Kokomo watch out for the County Sherriff's they're not very nice. The one's at Gas City are very nice & polite. :2:

When I first started going to Kokomo I stayed at several different motels, but I have only used the Super 8 for several years. Best rates in town, nice people, indoor pool, half block or so across the street from IHOP, clean, walking distance from Cracker Barrel and the Country Catfish Restaurant which you can walk to or is a short drive. Since Gas City is only about 30 miles from Kokomo, I stay there both nights to eliminate the need to unpack, pack, unpack, pack, etc. Since I am coming from the west, Kokomo is on my way to Gas City, so I can stop off there and get into the motel and then go to the race at Gas City.

I have found the County Sheriff's deputies to be polite, professional and helpful. However, my only interaction with them has been talking to the two who are by the pit gate and following their traffic directions as they help crowds get out of the track in a quick, efficient manner. Haven't ever seen one at Gas City.

Lawrenceburg,Ind. Quality Inn/Stes...1000 Eads Pkwy,47025 (877)477-8004...best/largest breakfast selection I'd seen b4!!...KKR,TSR others were also there back then (2day show) in 08!!...also check "TRACK HOTELS" above!!......

If I were you I would stay Fri in Kokomo. That will save you from checking out Sat. morning and waiting to check in later. Plenty of places to stay.
