JJ Hughes facebook update from Eldora: "Blew the motor up. Crank broke in 3&4 in hotlaps. Looks like i might be done for the year unless we find someone generous."

Not trying to be Mr. Negative, but if you only have one motor and your a low budget team, why are you starting the year at a track like Eldora? I understand its Eldora and all that but being on a budget and starting your year at Eldora just doesnt make since. Hope they get things lined up.

To clear up any confusion. This wasn't the first race on our engine. Our engine had 13 races on it prior to this weekend. As far as we know a brand new crank broke. We shook the car down at Lawrenceburg last week but it really doesn't matter what track you go to. If it's gonna blow. It's gonna blow. Some people ask why would we go to eldora for our first race? Well, why does NASCAR go to Daytona for its first race. A race is a race, and this is where USAC was this weekend.
