Nice shot, still hard to believe Jesse's gone. He was a great guy.

My daughter was in here when I posted it and I said just as much to her. This was the last time that I saw Jesse race. I don't think that I will ever forget the night since it was also the first time that sprint cars (w/o wings) ever raced in the Houston area (and most likely the last the way things look). To top it all off, it was a spectacular finish with Ballou winning by edging out Jesse and Brady Bacon after racing nearly three laps together under a blanket.

I know we usually do car photos but I came across this people picture. It just struck me when I opened the file.

left to right it is Dane Carter(if I crossed you Carter brothers up I apologize) , Jesse Hockett, Cole Whitt, and Shane Hmiel. Shane looks really excited. This was the 2009 Hoosier Hundred.

It is ashame that the sprint bandits will not be able to have a series in 2011. I know the race fans of Oklahoma and Texas would turn out by the droves for the races.

The pic of the drivers should be framed and put on a wall someone to honor each one of them.
