Must See Racing INVITATIONAL
BERLIN RACEWAY Saturday 9/25/10 MIKE LING WINS MUST SEE RACING INVITATIONAL Canadian Mike Ling won a hard-fought victory at Berlin Raceway on Saturday night, capturing the Must See Racing Invitational feature event. The Mt. Brydges, Ontario driver becomes the second repeat winner of the Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series this year. Twenty five cars competed, with fast qualifier Ling setting the stage, for the BioBased US Fast Car Slash race putting the fastest six qualifiers competing for the front feature starting positions. Crawfordville, Indiana’s Jacob Wilson set a blistering pace turning 13.3 – 13.4 second laps to win the Slash and the important feature pole starting spot. Wilson was followed to the line by Jason Blonde, Jeff Bloom, Mike Ling, Ryan Litt and Jim Swain. Heat races were won by Ling, Litt and Wilson with young hot shoe Jason Cox taking the ten car B Main. Mike Ling came from his outside second row feature starting spot to take his second MSRXSS feature win of the year followed by Jason Blonde, Ryan Litt, Jason Cox and Tim Cox. Sondi Eden had a great run taking sixth with Jimmy McCune, veteran Bill Tyler, Kyle Flint and Joe Swanson rounding out the top ten. Jacob Wilson led the first twenty two laps of the feature, from his pole starting spot, before a left rear tire failure eliminated him from contention. Jeff Bloom was eliminated by a turn one tangle with Mike Blakes #81, piloted by Derek Synder. The incident brought out the red flag. Bloom was taken to the hospital and was latter released in good condition.
