Best shot at the right weather?

Probably right here at Fountain City!

Iowa has rain predicted on Friday. Illinois and Indiana look like a wash for Saturday but in southwest Wisconsin...

Looks like they get Friday night in before a little rain comes in after midnight and then ends before sunrise. Saturday and Saturday night look good and if they need it -- doubt they will -- Sunday is good too! Somebody's getting that $10 GRAND or MORE THIS WEEKEND!!!

I'd head that way right now!!!

Here's some more info:
Quote:
MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY is excited to announce that Tony Buckland of Sunshine Sanitation of Winona, MN has stepped on board to Sponsor a $1000 bonus to the driver who is leading Saturday's USRA A-Mod main event at the lap 25 pit stop.

Additionally, Les Duellman racing and Ultra Shield have come on board as well and will be awarding a $500 full containment seat to the Hard charger in Saturdays main event.

Visit the official Mississippi Thunder Speedway web site at www.MississippiThunder.com for more details.

Texan Rodney Sanders wins $12,000 in awesome Wisconsin race!!!

WTG Rodney! THIS was a show!!!

Quote:
Sanders pockets $12,000 with RE/MAX USRA Modified Nationals win

FOUNTAIN CITY, Wis. – A thrilling main event featuring some of the best Modified drivers in the nation capped off the inaugural RE/MAX USRA Modified Nationals Saturday night at the Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wis.

The USRA RHS Modified main event featured absolutely awesome racing as USMTS regular Rodney Sanders of Happy, Texas, bested the field for a $12,000 payday.
Read the whole thing at http://www.usraracing.com/newsdetail.asp?NewsID=9730

This was a 30-car A-main. Ryan Gustin and Terry Phillips got together at the start of the 50-lapper after starting 5th and 6th. Both ended up on the rear of the field.

Sanders, Mike Spaulding and the red hot Jon Tesch from 14th starting spot swapped the lead around with Tesch leading some 15 laps including the half-way $1000 bonus lap. Rodney-the-Rocket's team must have made the best adjustments during the 10-minute half-time. By lap 30, he had the lead back and led the last 20 laps! $12,000!!!! Cool to see a Texan bring that back and now he really is a Happy Texan! (Happy's the home town if you didn't know....by Amarillo...) Rodney's still only 20-years old folks!!!

An Okie -- Tommy Weder, Jr. -- got the $7000 second (a pair of Hughes Chassis, 1-2). Tommy may be 'all the way back' now so look out ahead. He's won $8000 in Arizona or New Mexico before.

Tesch ended up in 3rd in a GRT and Gustin from the back rallies to 4th!!! 14-year old Lucas Schott starts 25th and finishes 10th!!! Phillips only makes it back up to 15th. Payne, not a factor in the A??? Hughes has a bad night and doesn't make the A. Both Scott twins from New Mexico made this A too.

Mark Noble won $2000 in the Friday make-up in the afternoon getting $2800 in all when the night was over. Tim Donlinger and Weder were 2nd and 3rd while Mike Sorenson and Sanders came from 24th and 23rd to finish 4th and 5th in the day race. MTS must be a racy place!!!

63 cars??? Bet it's way better next year!!!
