THE TRACK! ...I used to wait all week to run Gas City, I couldnt wait to get there every Friday! Back when you would show up and it was wet and heavy in hotlaps (not hard and grease)....It would build up a nice little cushion and you had two awesome grooves to race on! now its who can run thru the middle and not slip up....not much fun...Im not a fan of racing a slick one lane track in the heat race followed by and hour delay to completely change the track into a Hammer down one lane 25 lap feature.....As a owner/driver/one man crew its difficult to work toward getting your car fast only to have them dig it up every night and have to completely free up the car again to run 25 wideopen no passing laps...At least thats what they have done the 6 times I have raced there this year......

Thanks to the generosity of roy jackson and mark clark I will return fri. My engine isssue def parked me for the year and quite possibly for good. Fortionately roy and mark came to my aid allowing me to run their backup motor for the rest of the season. Thank you again to the 42g team for stepping in and helping me it really means a lot! God bless

Don't be surprised if you are told not to come anymore. That has been known to happen to people who criticize the track conditions in the past. It might be different since you have a sprintcar though.

He's right though, I was looking and 6 of 8 sprintcar winners have came from the FRONT ROW!!!!! Clauson came from the 2nd row and Hollingsworth came from the 4th row. When you've got 75% of your winners coming from the front row something needs to change. Yeah the speeds are really fast in the feature but WHO CARES if there is zero passing going on?????

Something needs to change at gas city. I can remember when the track workers had to come out after every heat race and beat the mud off the fence so the fans could even see the race track, whens the last time that happened?

Sorry rant over now, just wish we could see the old gas city again.

I wouldn't disagree with either of you. Somebody on here likes to criticize my decision not to go to Gas City very often despite living only a mile from the track. I used to go every week but the last couple years I have seen the same thing you have just described.

During the Sprint Week show you could've beat the mud off of me with a shovel sitting there on row #3. Just kidding, it was a pretty good race.
