$1000 to win Quincy Raceway, Quincy IL-Lightning Sprint Cars

It is still a little early to say this is a done deal but I feel pretty confident this will happen from the email I received today from Tony at Quincy Raceway. This race will be an IL/MO state championship race that will pay $1000 to win. Yes that is right $1000 to win. With that kind of money Quincy raceway should have no trouble drawing racers from all over the Midwest. MOLS, IOLS, MMSA, WIMS, OMMS are all off that night. Quincy is a great river town that has always made racers feel very welcome to the town. There are great restaurants, hotels, night life and the river walk just to relax. The response from other racers has been good and with the extra money now being talk about it should be one of the biggest races of the year to attend. The location of the track and the fact that know one has any experience on it will make it a very level playing field for all racers that attend.

Keep checking back I hope to have word very soon that this is a done deal.

what are lightning sprint cars???

1000cc - 1200cc mini sprints. The Kansas city and Illinois group call themselfs lightning sprint cars rather than mini sprints. I dont like mini sprints either. The word mini reminds me of a toy. And if you have get a chance to drive one they are anything but toys.
