LOYET LEAVES THE COMPETITION AT FAYETTE CO.

One of the top Midget drivers in the country, Brad Loyet, of Sunset Hills, MO made Sprint Car racing look easy as he took the victory in the American Sprint Car Tour event at the Fayette County Speedway in Brownstown Illinois Friday night. He started on the pole and led all 25 laps of the feature event at the semi-banked 1/3-mile clay oval. Bret Tripplett took home the Indy Race Parts “HARD CHARGER” AWARD and Korey Weyant garnered the Earl’s Indy “TOUGH AS STEEL” AWARD with his 6th place finish in a Steel Block Sprinter. Three of the Top Ten cars in the A-Main were of the iron block variety. Craig Budde has a narrow point led on J.T. Stapp heading into this weekend’s “Bluegrass Shootout” at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY on Friday and at the Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, KY on Saturday night.
