With all the discussions here about the racing this weekend, is'nt it great to have a choice of where you can go to see a race? Thats the great part about racing in Indiana. The bad part is the racing is oversaturated and is dilluted which only hurts all parties involved.
As a promotor i do everything possible to put on a great show as do others. So what i'm trying to say is to support a race somewhere. Make a decision to see a race somewhere, and maybe even introduce a new fan to racing. But please make sure if you are going to introduce a new fan to racing that its at a track that will put on a great show and get the new fans back to the track. With new fans it only takes one bad show for them and they will never be back.
Everyone please have a great, safe, racing weekend in the greatest racing state in the country INDIANA!!
Thanks, Dave Rudisell

There you go again Dave bringing common sense and positive posts into this forum. What are you thinking? Keep up the good work!! When we make it over to your area to visit the inlaws, we try to make it to the track.

We have the same issue here in Central PA. Lots of good racing to choise from on any given weekend. If you've ever lived in an area were your choice was only one track with five or six classes and only 60 or 70 cars you'll know how lucky we are.

Thanks Dave for not only promoting Lawrenceburg Speedway but for being a true promoter of auto racing in general. I like your style and hope that da Burg always has you cheerleading the way. See you soon.

its easy to fix that problem. you have a stadium to race sprint cars in.if you pay three or four thousand to win every saturday and promote your show as the best weekly sprint car show in the nation than the best teams can afford to race there and the fans will come. but the same old 1500 dollars that we were racing for twenty years ago wont get it done. in pa. there is never a race that pays less than three grand,so with your facility why dont you be the guy that starts promoting sprint car racing again instead of back gate promoting. make it a real show and raise indiana to the pa. level.

Thanks for the advice, but its not a easy fix, if i had a extra million laying around i would try it. With a huge weekly payout, you will attract some of the bigger teams, and you would run off your lower budgeted teams. I am a bit offended by your comment of me back gate promoting, or maybe i am just reading it wrong, if i was back gate promoting i would run 6 classes of cars a week. I agree the purses are lower than the racers deserve, and i have been working really hard to increase the purses, without going bankrupt. What can you do to help our sport? you can send a letter to track sponsors and tell them thank you, for supporting racing, you can bring new fans to the races. We have a number of programs going that can assist you in bringing more new fans. Just e-mail me at rpmproductions@comcast.net and we can let you know about some of our programs, like fundraisers and group rate, and we also have company outing for a great rate.
Thanks for your interest in our sport, Dave Rudisell

I agree with Dave, if you up the winners purse you end up paying more to attract the same minimal car count. The real answer is guaranteed "tow money" or "show money".

Do I believe this to be simple, h*ll no, if it were Dave would have already done it! The man has proven himself to be one of (if not the) best promoters in the nation.

I don't know what the dollar amount is that needs to be guaranteed to draw 40 or so a week, but I hope to see that day come to Indiana and the world of non-wing racing.

Dave, I commend you for the job you have done and continue to do promoting one of the finest dirt tracks in the world. I wish for continued success for you and Lawrenceburg Speedway.

I am so glad to live right here on the east central edge of Indiana and have more than reasonable access to several race tracks and different types of racing. Pavement, dirt, sprints, winged sprints, midget, TQs, dirt champ, late models, mods and even figure 8's on tracks of all shapes and sizes. All racing season long is a wide and exciting list of races to go to, rare is there a weekend without some type of special event from a HUGE amount of different groups and even if on rare occasion there is no special event then the weekly shows are first rate for the most part!

I am no longer a resident of Indiana, but spent 30+ years there. Indiana is the Sprint Car Capitol. Mr. Rudisell, I sincerely hope you succeed there at Lawrenceburg and prove all the haters wrong, and I also hope all promoters and fans learn to promote THE SPORT of auto racing like you do.
