The Midwest TQ Racing League™ presented by Vincennes University is pleased to announce two new contingency sponsors for the 2010 season.
  • INOX Slick Move of the Race - winner is selected by the officials and receives $50 in INOX product.

  • Duane and Sonja Alexander Hard Luck Driver of the Race - winner is selected by the officials and receives $50 per race, plus $500 in year end awards going to the drivers selected by the Alexander family.

2010 contingency sponsors already announced:
  • Jackson Oil Duel for Fuel - $50 gift certificate to the Jackson Oil Duel for Fuel race winner, plus a $50 gift certificate drawn at the driver's meeting.

  • Tony Stewart Racing Rookie of the Year - $50 to the top finishing rookie in each race, plus $500 year end awards to the top three finishing rookies.

  • Wards Apparel Hard Charger - $50 gift certificate to the driver with the highest number of places advanced, plus a $50 gift certificate drawn at the driver's meeting.

  • Green Tech Tail Gunner Challenge - chance for the pole sitter to start at the back of the pack for a bonus. $100 will be added to the bonus each week until someone completes the challenge.

  • Paradise Performance Hard Luck Owner - winner is voted by the MTQRL owners and will receive a set of pistons at year end banquet.

  • Cozzolino Motorsport's Owner Perfect Attendance Award - $500 and $500 shop time goes to winners drawn at the year end banquet.

  • Green Tech July 4th Challenge - ten cars, ten laps for $1,000 to the winner of the challenge.

This brings the Midwest TQ Racing League™ presented by Vincennes University contingency prizes for the 2010 season to $6,000 in cash and $6,000 in product. These contingencies, along with Indiana's highest weekly TQ purse, makes 2010 the richest season in Indiana TQ history. In only its second year of competition, the MTQRL has set the bar for TQ competition.

The 2010 season will conclude with the championship banquet and awards ceremony on the campus of Vincennes University. After the banquet in the Green Auditorium, the awards presentation will take place on the stage of the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center with a reception to follow.

Mark and I don't get the credit. There's a thousand people working behind the scenes. Many are starting to see the great racing we did. This is just the beginning. There are many fun years to come. I'm just thankful we met Gary Lee that freezing day. I thought he was a professor. Little did we know he would jumpstart our favorite form of racing.

Jen, don't look now, but I have a "possible" for another sponsor, for some contingency products, like some GoooooD BBQ, I should have some more info later next week. Hope we can get him on board, he's already made one trip last Fall, to see our racing program. Bob

Following a rainout at Twin Cities on April 24. the Midwest TQ Racing League presented by Vincenne University will open it's second season on Saturday, May 8th in front of the historic grandstand at the Shelbyville County Fairgrounds. In additional to beginning the richest season in the history of Indiana TQ racing, it will also mark the debut of the Vincennes University race car. Defending MTQRL Champion, Tate Martz, will wheel the white, blue and yellow number one. The car is owned by former racer, Roger Ramsey, and will feature graphics designed by Vincennes Univerisity graphic arts student, Craig Karcher. Vincennes University is Indiana's first college, dating back to 1801 and is the first school of higher learning to be a title sponsor of an Indiana racing series.

I was just sitting here looking at all the great sponsors the MTQRL has picked up and got to thinking. Vincennes University in the town of Vincennes, Indiana has been with the MTQRL from the beginning.

This will be my first year fielding a car with MTQRL and I'm so happy to see the University backing the series. The town has a very special meaning to me and my life. I lost a good friend on March 6,1969 in Viet Nam when 2Lt. William Dennis McAllister was killed. Lt. McAllister was from Vincennes, Indiana. I passed through Vincennes a few weeks ago and I thought about the Lt. It looks like a great little town and I know it had special meaning to a good friend.

Just rambling. I know this has nothing to do with anything much but just thought I'd post.
