From my seat it was a great weekend of racing. From Thursday's practice w many cars under the track record, to watching the various lines taken throughout the weekend. From slide jobs, to finding the rubber to watching Windom throw all four tires in the air as he maneuvered the cushion, even when he had a half lap lead.

The Silver Crowns were far better than I could have imagined, watching Levi work high and low to get around Bud, trying and trying the cushion until finally rim riding all the way around 3 and 4 to beat Bud at the finish.

All three features fell into my 'wow' category.

Good to see many old friends and meet many new friends. Good to see 410's in Arizona again.

I took a few pictures Sunday a.m. that I will attempt to post.

with all of the rain, i was kinda surprised the track dried out that much. they took an hour to prep the track for the sprints only to have it slick off in 2 laps.

it was interesting to see more clay in the pits than many tracks have actually on the track.

So, if it is a 3/8, Lawrenceburg would be a great place for a show like this.

I was really shocked the sc got around that track so well also . I think Lawrenceburg would be an excellent track for all three divisions , How about Dave and USAC ?

The old NCRA Champ cars are the samething as a sc car and they used to run everything from 1/4 mile at Liberal to the 1/2 @ Okc. 81 speedway in wichita is a 3/8 so so really any track that wants can host a 50 lap sc race.
