My condolences to the Baskins family. I am sorry that I missed the 16th Street Speedway era. Seems like a great midget venue was lost.
Iam sure Mr. Baskins will be missed by many and including those with ties to the former speedway. I do know fellow USAC Regional Midget Series competitor and first-time poster to IOW , Travis Young ! Travis scored third place in points in 2007 behind another lost friend and racer , the incomparable Alex Pruett. Travis has himself achieved the runner-up position in three of the last four years ! Look for the # 11 in '08 ! Best wishes , Travis ! Paul Gray # 28 :Steer |
