I ran a silver crown motor (360) a couple a weeks ago and it was fine. finised second in the second feature. I didn't miss the main show either because not enough motor, just had bad heat and that was that. I ended up with a 6.34 gear in it. hopefully this answers your question.

Thanks guys.....I was just curious, I didnt know if the rules allowed it. How much HP difference is there between a 360 and 410?
It just dont seem like there would be a lot of difference in performance on dirt. |

The 360 that is in my car has 768 horse were the 410 I usually run is a tick over 800. The only down fall I noticed with the 360 is they are way down on tourqe compaired to the 410's. That is why I have to run so much gear with the 360.

Back in the days where even weekly shows had time trials at every race, my dad or another crew member would pull a spark plug wire just before they sent the car out to time in. One at least one occasion that resulted in the fast time. Their driver like many drivers operated under the school of thought that he never had enough horsepower even if he was spinning the tires all the way around the track.
