Greg Bragg out of CA run a one of a kind engine for the Chili Bowl. I believe that last year was the first time for him to run the Bowl. It is a Honda car engine. Mostly stock, but with a little head porting, some work on the fuel system and I believe a cam that is a little different than stock. The engine turns near 16,000 rpm!!! Though the muffler he runs keeps it quieter than most cars out there, you can definitly hear it twisting VERY tight!

I just read the latest Chili Bowl PR, the driver of the "outboard" car was Matt Sherrell. The same Matt Sherrell that will be driving the #67k for Keith Kunz!

I like the DIFFERENT aspect, For some reason it adds to the UNDERDOG aspect of racing even tho sometimes the UNDERDOG has more Power than many of the other teams.

Theres all kinds of things you could do with motors, The most Scare to me acceleration Id ever been in was a Mazda RX2 Rotary with twin turbos.

I still would like to keep it traditional and Two Stroking is traditional.

Chuck, who loved the sound of the Scat V4

Since Chuck brought up "different" and "underdogs"...

Anyone remember Mike Stroehle a few years back in the #1st, was an older car and man he ran the wheels off of it... I believe he gave JJ a run for his money but finished second in like an H-Main... Was cool seein' an older car run like that, and stuff like that always seems to happen at the 'Bowl... gotta love it!...
