Was in Lawrenceburg today and thought i would stop by the track to see what was happening. The sight was outstanding ! dozers, earth movers, trucks moving dirt and the track somewhat laid out. Had a nice talk with a couple of workers and they explained the details of where the track will be and how the infield will be raised and covered with grass ! From what i can picture , this is going to be the greatest dirt track in Indiana. No kiding, it really brings excitement into a cold winter day !

Thanks for the report Robert, Was there yesterday for a short and noticed a lot of work going on. I really have no idea in my head how the track is gonna look. Dave says steeper banking but I still am confused. Part of the fun of just stopping by from time to time and checking it out yourself.

April will be here soon enough, I really hope they can maintain a good count and weekly show with the new track, The old track being less demanding on motors was one of it's perks for teams.

Chuck

Take care, Dave

About 100 Loads Of Fill Dirt Was Dumped Around Turns 1 And 2 Thursday. It Is Now Level From The Top Of The Turn All The Way Back To Were You Parked Around 1 And 2. More Concrete Was Dug Up Across From The Restrooms. To Say The Least A Lot Of Work Was Done Today...

I was very skeptical as they got a late start but after seeing the work in progress and how fast they move dirt, cut areas and just get things done. IM TOTALLY COMFIDENT the track will be shaped by Mid Feb, Walls and fencest by Mid March, WITH OR WITHOUT BAD weather.

I watched for a hour on day and the entire turn one/two wall was taken down rubble in that time, The infield graded and the outside of turn two excavated. Like the previous poster, One Hundred loads of clay in one day is no problem. I also witnessed this last spring as they basically in a week totally reshaped and rebuilt the track.

Go Excavation INC!
