ROSE & WALKER SIDING & DRYWALL SPECIALISTS NIGHT AT BLOOMINGTON SPEEDWAY THIS FRIDAY NIGHT AUGUST 28th
By: Chris Nunn

Bloomington, IN- August 23rd, 2009- Coming off of a weekend where a few of our regular competitors strapped on the wings to compete with the O’Reilly Midwest All Stars, they will be looking forward to familiarity. Familiarity in running without the wing, as the Safety Kleen Sprint Cars return to the Bloomington Speedway for a $1,400 to win event. Dickie Gaines, Broc Burton, Jeff Bland, Jr., Ty Deckard, Chris Babcock, Nic Faas, Logan Hupp, and Eric Edwards represented the Bloomington Speedway well last Friday night during the MASS event, with five of them making the main event. A close points battle will also continue in the Tire and Wheel Center UMP Super Stock division, as they will run for $500 to win. The O’Neal Wood Products UMP Modifieds will also be in action for $600 to win. The fine folks from Rose and Walker will be on hand this Friday night for the festivities. If you see one of the Rose and Walker representatives, make sure you stop them and thank them for their support. Rose and Walker provides a vast selection of quality exterior building products including vinyl siding, roofing, windows, doors and shutters to home builders, siding applicators and home owners throughout south central and southern Indiana. You can learn more about them at www.roseandwalker.com

In previous action at Bloomington Speedway on August 21st, the O’Reilly Midwest All Stars were in action. Tommy Worley, Jr. of Farmington, MO claimed a close victory over Randy Hannagan. The duo diced through lapped traffic late in the race, with Worley, Jr. taking the victory by just a car length over Hannagan. Completing the top five were Chris Andrews, Danny Smith, and Jerrod Hull. Chris Hillman dominated the Tire and Wheel Center UMP Super Stock main event, taking his second straight win. Following Hillman to the line were Brad Cummings, Jason Thomas, Steve Peeden, and Troy Clark. The O’Neal Wood Products UMP Modified feature event went to Kent Robinson, his sixth on the season. Rounding out the top five were Josh Eads, Clint DeMoss, Bradley Sterrett, and Joe Godsey.

Current Bloomington Speedway points in the Safety Kleen Sprint Car division shows Brady Short with a 44 point advantage over Jeff Bland, Jr., as the duo continue to dominate the standings. Ethan Barrow sits third, 145 points behind Short. Ty Deckard is fourth in the standings, with Danny Holtsclaw moved into the top five and sits 182 markers behind Short. Kent Robinson continues to lead the O'Neal Wood Products UMP Modified points, with a 25 point advantage over Clint DeMoss. Josh Eads is 35 points behind Robinson in third place John DeMoss and Matt Bex round out the top five, as they are 163 and 206 points behind respectively. The closest battle continues to be in the Tire and Wheel Center UMP Super Stock division, as only 15 points separates the top three. Brad Cummings holds a ten point advantage over Troy Clark, while Clayton Perry only sits 15 points behind Cummings in third. Jack Frye sits fourth, 61 points behind Cummings. Greg Amick completes the top five, 73 points in arrears.

I wouldnt count on it. Not many are running the other track when sprints arent running at their home track. I think there were only 2 from Bloomington at GC last week while MASS was at Bloomington. Not too many from GC came to run the KISS or Sheldon Kinser this year.

Thats good!! I dont really consider JS a GC regular he is more of a free agent not running for points anywhere except maybe Kokomo.
