Kokomo has put on a good show and let people get on the road at a decent hour so with two races left in Aug. make sure you make it a point to be in town for the few shows left. Sunny and 80 degrees is the forecast for today, make sure you stop in the pits after the show and spend some time with your favorite driver.

Since there have been no rain outs at the big K this year, they should make the 16th and the 30th regular programs and get some more great racing in! Whats up with the Saturday races???

I asked this of the gal at the admission gate last week and she asked, "Did we have any rainouts?" I said "No." She said, "Well, then there's your answer." I was thinking the same thing - we are like peak racing but with school starting early here in Indiana and this being a Sunday track, the headcount starts decreasing during this time. You could see it last Sunday already. So as Jerry said, last Sunday for this month... I'm going! And it's the final HARF HUNDREDS NIGHT (50% off GA) so better yet! Don't know what's up with the Saturday show... |

the HARF HUNDRED$ promotion was done over a 3 night race series at 3 different tracks (July 24th @ Gas City, Aug 1st @ Lawrenceburg, and tonight @ Kokomo), and points were awarded according to a drivers finishing position in that nights feature (1st place gets 1 point, 20th gets 20 points, etc.). so after 2 nights of racing, only 2 drivers have competed in both of the previous qualifying events, and they are Jonathan Hendrick (with 11 points, 9th @ GC & 2nd @ L'burg), and Andrew Elson (with 22 points, 19th @ GC & 3rd @ L'burg).
the good news is that because of the generosity of our sponsors, both drivers will win money tonight, with the $1000. award going to first and $200 going to our 2nd place winner. SO, helping you with the math, Andrew has to finish 12 places ahead of Jonathan in tonights feature to win our HARF HUNDRED's. Good Luck to both drivers. bob ![]() |
