Somebody posted over at Midgetmadness that the winged sprints will be on the card along with the USAC Midgets on Friday night. :28:

If this true, I hope that Midget George is not at Belleville otherwise I will be able to hear him ***** and moan all the way here in Illinois.

This was posted on Hoseheads a little wile ago

"Don't know all the details but I just learned that the All Stars have dropped Thunderhill (Mayetta) and will be staying at the Belleville Highbanks for another show on Friday night. Apparently, there are internal financial issues at Thunderhill which neccessitated this change in schedule. Also, Belleville was VERY concerned about an acute lack of cars for Friday's Midget Nationals program."

Having a sprint car race in Iowa on Friday night doesn't help the car count in Kansas the same night.

Amen.

The rumor at US36 on Monday was that the modified drivers were not going back to Thunderhill, because they could not cash their prize money checks because of lack of funds.

Outside of the regular Allstar tracks, Fremont, Attica and so forth, ther always seems to be drama with the ASCOC schedule. For example, Wayne County was dropped basically the day before the sprint week show or mystery races like Clayhill Tennessee that are never on the tracks schedule or Waynesfield that cancelled a few months ago but has not been removed from the schedule. Sometimes it is the track and sometimes it the ASCOC but their schedule is always a mystery.

Only 11 cars for the first night of the Belleville Nationals....that is just sad. My dad could have stayed home, went to Grundy, and seen more cars.

Morty, to steal a Quote from Merrilville Al, when I compared the driving style of WoO Late Models to USCA Sprints:

and I quote..."Now your starting to sound like that "JACKA$$" from Gary Indiana"......
