I want to go to Oswego in the worst way, but it will not happen for me. That is a track I always wanted to see a SC race at.

I've been there one time. 1983, was working at Nine Mile Point power plant and was able to get enough time off for one night of super-modifieds, don't remember any other class with them. It's been too long ago. Pretty neat place and a pretty neat town.

Jeff, in 1983 the super modifieds were the only weekly class that ran at the "Steel Palace," they would be joined on special holiday events with the modifieds. In 1992 Oswego gave birth to a new division they named limited super modifieds and now call small block supers. Instead of using the old super modified chassises that were hanging around in peoples garages not being run, they came up with a whole new chassis design. They were not real popular at birth with the long time super modified fans. Now seventeen years later the small block supers have a strong fan base.
