Hey guys,

I live in Canada, I am the Canadian referred to in a previous post. Thanks Steve and Patti, for the kind words, I know many of you also understand my point of view. I may seem a little passionate about matters in another country, and racers I hardly, if any know. I know a few of the photographers on here as I love nothing more besides my family then photography and racing. It's given me a life where I never had one, a chance to be involved with something I lack skill and finances for yet enjoy to no end. DonMoore10's post about not making drivers and car owners pay pit passes, Bill's post about people complaining about the length of a show, too long, too short came on the heels of my own track raining out on a sunny day. Where I live we have one 3/8 mile dirt track and the next closest dirt track is 2-1/2 hours away. A few of the posters on our message board think the track should go down in flames for this, that the owners aren't promoters and we should stop going to the track. One of these posters is driver who for some reason hasn't made it out for any of the 6 nights we have raced, yet he was ready to run last week?. I just took the night off to go to the $12 front gate, $20 pit gate, 57 car turnout, $10,000 to win, Summer Nationals finale at Oakshade Raceway. Tim McCreadie (broke his back at the Chili Bowl) won a great race that went green for 58 laps. The place was packed, I had a great time and completely forgot about my home track raining out. Yes there dirt late models, just using it as an example.

Now back to the title of this thread
http://www.wagtimes.com/wagsbucks.html - Wagsbucks has given away $518,901.27 in the past 20 years.

http://www.beerhillgang.com/about.shtml - Beerhill Gang has been helping out since 2002 in PA.

If you guys make a "gang", start giving out money, I'll buy a t-shirt and I'm sure with the amount of fans, drivers and tracks you will succeed in making a positive difference. If you guys do start something, and get a PO box or a contact address, I would send photos you could auction or help in some other way.

Back to Oakshade Raceway (a late model track in the North West corner of Ohio), during there intermission a volunteer fan, provides some entertainment for all the youngsters on most race nights with fun and games and prizes donated by generous businesses and race teams.

IndyBound has also mentioned the Eagles at Oswego Speedway - http://www.oswegospeedway.com/Drivers/EaglesFanClub/tabid/235/Default.aspx

Please enlighten me to some of this that already happens in the Hoosier state. I stayed in Indy nine years ago for work, and I think that is when I decided to get back around racing. When I am there I feel like I'm at home. I know that there is people who help racers and their called car owners and sponsors. I just think some of you have the passion to make a difference.
