All excellent choices IMHO. Speaking of HARF, I just received the latest newletter which includes a form for HARF HOF nominations. I was again in disbelief that Sheldon Kinser is not listed amongst those already enshrined. This should not be interpreted as questioning the credentials of any of those previously selected. Nor is my post a criticism of HARF or any members/office holders past or present. But I do consider the omission of Sheldon to be a major oversight and I will be nominating him again this year. Sheldon Kinser not in the HOOSIER Auto Racing Fans Hall of Fame?? You gotta be kidding me. :checkered:

The HARF board does not choose Hall of Fame members or nominees. The membership both nominates and votes for that honor.

All are worthy winners. When is Kevin Oldham going to win a media award? He has done alot for the sport.

special thanks to john for posting our choices so quickly and to danny for letting race fans know how we do the Hall of Fame voting. up to this point we have received great nominations again this year for our HoF choices, with the nomination process ending on Nov. 19th (& you can save the cost of a stamp and bring your nomination to Monte Carlo night on the 17th). and as stated before, sheldon kinser has been nominated this year and will be up for voting once we receive all nominations and send out our voting cards to ALL members. up till a few years ago, we didn't have 4 time Indy winner Rick Mears in the Hall of Fame either, so there are a few missing yet and we add 2 new members every year. thanks for the concern and bringing the obvious choices to our attention. bob:foxcostanbrough:2007 HARF Driver of the Year
