This is one great weekend for us open wheel fans. Absolutely loaded!! If you can't get your fix this weekend, then there is something very wrong with you. From Thursday night all the way thru Sunday night, the best of the best. Looking like the weather is going to be good.

I will ask one favor of everyone that frequents this great board, when Monday rolls around just take a few minutes to remember and honor all of those that gave the ultimate sacrifice so that we here in this country can remain free, and have the luxury to enjoy many things in life that are sometimes taken for granted. To be honest I myself sometimes am guilty of this. I have many fond memories of some of the guys I served with in the U.S. Air Force. One of the fondest was in March A.F.B. California on a 6 week temporary duty when 4 of us "Borrowed" a Air Force transit bus just so we could go to Ascot. One of those airman lost his life in Germany in an accident 2 years later. I think of him sometimes, and the reaction he had watching those guys run the cushion. All he could say was " Holy Chit Reese, this stuff is CRAZY!!!"

I just think that if it wasn't for our fine men and women in uniform, nobody would ever be able to hear a reaction like this from someone we brought to the races, there just might not be any races.

Thanks
Dave Reese

On your first point, that's ok for you to say, but have some sympathy for those of us in New England, which has a definite shortage of both dirt tracks and open wheel race cars. :-(

I certainly agree with your second point. My oldest son refuels airplanes ... at 30,000 feet. I.e., he flies KC-135 tankers.
