PAWS at the Burg June 6th

Lawrenceburg Speedway will be hosting a fundraiser for the Dearborn County Animal Shelter on Saturday, June 6th!
This is what I'm calling a "change jar" campaign...It's really simple...bring your change jar to the races, the PAWS volunteers weigh it in....and for each pound of change you donate, you will receive a door prize ticket. We're hoping to have hundreds of door prizes to choose from! We'll also have special gifts for kids who bring their piggy banks to help an animal in need.

We are also still accepting door prizes from fans and racers. If you would like to donate parts or collectibles, t-shirts, hats, etc. Just bring them to the tech building during the races or the payout window (Pit Concession)

With the down economy, shelters all over the country are reporting an increase of animals at the shelter. It is very sad....a lot of families out there can no longer afford to feed and take care of the cherished family pet!! Dave and I have three fur-babies...Kinks the yellow Lab, Bear-Bear the Rotweiller, and Kharma the cat, and I just can imagine the thought of having to choose paying the electric bill or feeding the animals (sorry dave, but if it comes to that, you'll be using the battery operated lap top to post on IOW in the dark!)
