Amati Tribute - Haubstadt

The tribute Alan Beck Haubstadt announcer gave last Saturday night to Chuck Amati was unique and emotional. He gave a great history of Chuck's racing career. Then he said we are going to give Chuck one
more feature win and I'm sure he will hear his fans. He then proceeded to say tonights feature winner the one armed bandit Chuck Amati and the fans stood and went crazy - a very touching moment. Did anyone else feel the same way?

I thought that was a fantastic thing for them to do. Had to explain it to my grandkids, but it was awesome.

Really a memorable and emotional moment. I am very glad I was there to experience it.

Yes, I definitely did! I always enjoyed talking with Chuck back in the day when they pitted in the infield and the fans could visit with the drivers during intermission.
