Thanks to everyone who was at Lawrenceburg tonight!!! We had a great crowd and the drivers and teams put on a GREAT show. Everything really ran smooth and had everyone heading home at a decent hour. Thanks again to all drivers, crews and fans who put on a whale of a show.
Sincerely, Dave Rudisell

You're right, Dave, it was a good night of racing. My only disappointment was, that for all of the work and good will you put into the place, that a few more cars would've shown up. However, the cars that were there did put on a great show. It seemed to be a late arriving crowd but, they finally showed up!!! I hope it was a profitable night.

Sprint car count (21) was down a bit but the quality was first rate. Very impressive win for Brett Burdette. Hated to see Brady Short and Damion Gardner taken out early but I doubt they had anything for Burdette. Josh Wise was right there but he dropped back several positions after banging wheels with the eventual winner and never made his way back to contend.

Racing was very good on a completely different track surface than they had for the USAC show of the previous week. Track crew worked hard for 2 or 3 days battling bright sun and wind sucking the moisture out about as fast as they could lay it down. Well done Dave, Dave, Mel, Tim and all. :thumb Seeing first hand here at The 'Burg just how fickle the dirt can be has put me in a more forgiving mood when I see less than perfect surfaces elsewhere.

Again, CONGRATULATIONS to Brett Burdette, Joe, and the JW crew. Very enjoyable night for the Section "A" inhabitants (the "A" now painted a scarlet red.....what's up with that?). Anytime I can watch Dave Darland wheel a race car, I've got my buck's worth. Throw in Bobbalou, Wise, Short, The "Demon", Hunter, Windom, the "Hanford Hornet" and all the local regulars and you've got yourself some great entertainment.

I think I may go back. :wink:checkered:
