Glanced thru the forum and did not seething any on this. I work with Shane's Uncle and he said they got the guy who stole thier stuff. Said the guy seen what he had in the trailer and knew he could not get rid of the car so he cut it up. Any insite on this? Shane's uncle was not sure about any other details. Also Shane's uncle is a pretty good guy and I have no reason not to believe him just looking for more details. Thanks

Blake had told me the same the other day. I hadn't said anything because they aren't completely positive as they haven't been sent any photos yet. From what I was told, Gene has a lawyer that is working on his behalf to make sure that it is his equipment and that he can retrive it before he goes there to inspect it.

I know everyone involved has appreciated everyones thoughts and attempts to help.

Knoxville sprint racer Brian Brown called. He had seen it on Hoseheads and he saw a suspecious track at a Missouri truckstop and even had a sheriff run the plate.

Heard the same thing over the wekend. At this point, they don't really know how much equipment is still intact. Law enforcement still hasn't taken custody of anything yet.
Until i know all the facts, i won't spread any misinformation on here.
But it sounds like there is a ray of hope..:applaud::applaud:

I think Your statement is fair enough. Don"t like to see anyone get ripped off. Even if the car was cut up at least it sounds like they caught the SOB. Hopefully they can recover some stuff anyway. Thanks!!

My brother spoke with Blake last night and got a little more info. Gene is out of town and the detective; whom I guess owns and or drives a micro(small world), sent Blake some photos.

Sounds like there are still some very good parts there which is great, but sadly it appears some of the items where sold to people who knew they where stolen. I may have misunderstood, but it is starting to appear that the person who stole the rig wasn't just some scrapper, but someone who has an idea concerning racing/performance parts and applications.

My question is this; who is worse? The thief or the person who knowingly purchases stolen items.

One is as bad as the other. Especially, if true, it was purchased within this small community (racers).

I don't think there is any difference between them; nor should there be any difference in the punishment...

I heard they are going out to get all the stuff today or tomorrow. What I heard he cut up the car to get the motor out and sold a set of heads and the 4 wheeler but everything else is still there.

4 Wheeler was still there, but all of the markings were off of it. I guess the truck had been sold, but was recovered without the bed. Or maybe they just sold the bed.

The last I heard was that one motor was gone, but whereabouts where known and they weren't quite sure what all was there and what was missing. I hope they get it all back.
