I have a few old axles and centers and was wondering if a winters axle fits properly in a halibrand case and vise versa. Is there any problems with the mounting of the ring gear or spacing? thanks

I have done this recently. I used a halibrand axle with a Franklin replacement center for Winters. The only hang up was the collar the ring gear bolts on was slightly burred, so i turned it on the lathe and every thing went together fine. My only advice is don't try to straighten the axle, and always check them for straight after a crash.
Always drive safe and avoid contact. |
