May 17th USAC Midget date at Angel Park no longer on the schedule

When the original USAC midget schedule was released. It had a May 17th show at Angel Park in Wisconsin. However, when I looked at the schedule it is now gone.

Any ideas? Any updates?

Lots of rumors stirring around and nothing is set yet for Badger and Angell Park. Badger will have it's first meeting of 2009 next Tuesday February 10 and at that meeting they hope to be able to go over the race schedule for 2009. That's why the schedule isn't out yet. At the meeting Skeet Bushor is planning on being their with the PBH Indy Honda motor for everyone to look over. Also things stirring about the USAC races, are they strictly USAC or are they co-sanctioned with Badger. Stay tuned, hopefully in a week we know something. :confused:

Interesting that the Badger newsletter says they will be discussing their schedule for 2009 at the meeting next week but does not say anything about discussing a new contract with the Fireman at Angell Park. My understanding is the old contract ended at the end of last season and a new one is not in place nor was Badger consulted by the Fireman when they gave sanctioning rights to USAC for the 4 (now 3) main shows. Should be interesting to see where Badger races this season. If Badger and the Fireman don't come to an agreement I wonder what the car count will be at the 3 remaining USAC Angell Park shows without the Badger teams there racing for Badger points?

It also looks to me that the Badger date with the IRA at Charter in Beaver Dam on May2 is not on Charter's schedule anymore. It was there yesterday but now Badger is not listed on that date. :confused:

The race at Charter should be a go. It was removed from the schedule by the web master and that was an OOPS on his part.
