			Drill & Tap. A 10/32 @ The End Of Axel Use A 10/32 Socket Head Bolt & Loctite It I Have Never Lost A Axel Nut Or Wheel On  Rear Axel Posted This After Seeing Larsons RR Pass Him Down The Front Straight Away

			That was crew failure, not nut failure. I tighten my axle nuts every time it goes on the track whether I loosened them or not. 44 years, never lost an axle nut.

			All valid points for an axle nut that comes loose, but every team runs bleeders with pins already.  Not sure how any of it applies anyways when the axle breaks, just outside of the birdcage bearing like it did? Stated as much by the driver on track post wreck, and later in the pits. | |

			Only once. The threads were worn on the nut and it loosened up.
